A man was killed in a shooting in Austin Friday afternoon, Chicago police said.

The 32-year-old was outside in the 4900 block of West Monroe Street at 1:26 p.m. when an unknown offender got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots.

The man was shot in the upper body and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died.

No one is in custody.
