INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, with two years suspended, for kidnapping his girlfriend and her young children before taking them on a violent rampage from Elkhart down to Indianapolis.
Dhantori Honorable was sentenced in Marion County on Wednesday, Sept. 10, after pleading guilty in July to kidnapping with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a violent felon, kidnapping a child under the age of 14, criminal recklessness, domestic battery in front of a child, domestic battery of a child, auto theft and resisting law enforcement.
Honorable's crime spree allegedly began on Jan. 17, 2024, when he reportedly shot his 61-year-old grandfather in Elkhart. Honorable is awaiting trial in that shooting and several other northern Indiana crime
