An Evergreen Park man has been accused of robbery affecting interstate commerce in connection to the attempted robbery of an armored truck driver in Chicago’s Loop Wednesday, an incident that ended with the driver of that vehicle shooting the man.

Dajon Harris, 23, was charged in a criminal complaint filed Friday of obstructing, delaying and affecting the movement of articles and commodities in commerce by robbery and, as part of those robbery plans, committing and threatening physical violence.

The complaint alleges that at around 11:17 a.m., Harris robbed a Brinks armored truck driver who was near 6 S. State St. The driver was walking outside of a Saks Off 5th store with a black Brinks bag carrying eight clear bags of cash when Harris approached him, according to the complaint and a
