TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida A&M’s first home football game tomorrow is being overshadowed by nationwide threats to Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
FAMU saw a modified schedule for the last couple of days in the wake of those threats.
While there have been no threats directed at FAMU, university officials are taking no chances.
FAMU’s Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment said safety is the top priority.
“And when they say HBCUs nationally, we’re the number one public HBCU, so we take those threats very seriously and want to make sure our students, our parents, our alumni, our constituents in the community are all protected and safe,” Dr. William Hudson said.
