Indiana's inspector general is accusing Jennifer-Ruth Green, the former public safety secretary, of repeatedly engaging in political activity on state time, misusing state property and retaliating against a state employee who reported Green's misdeeds.

In a 10-count ethics complaint, Inspector General Jared Prentice asked the State Ethics Commission Friday to find Green violated the state ethics code and to impose an appropriate sanction , which may include a fine, a ban on future state employment, or a criminal referral, among other options.
