Basically since the original Famicom made its way from Japan to North America, under the name Nintendo Entertainment System, it’s been Nintendo’s world and we’re all just living in it. Not every system the company has produced has been a slam-dunk, unadulterated success, but most of them have. NES, Game Boy, SNES, N64, Game Cube, original Wii, and Switch have absolutely owned. But 30 years ago, Nintendo released what is almost inarguably its biggest failure. Both way ahead of its time and immediately dated, Nintendo’s Virtual Boy was the rare blemish for the company. So why, then, would Nintendo want to bring it back? For us weirdo Millennials who remember it, of course!
