After a couple blowout losses, the Yankees returned the favor last night, as they handled the Tigers in the series finale, led by a couple Aaron Judge homers. Now, they’re set to face a another test, this one with even bigger potential consequences for the standings.

Starting tonight, the Yankees will face off against the Red Sox, with not only rivalry bragging rights, but playoff positioning on the line. The Yankees have struggled with Boston this season, but a couple wins this weekend would help us forget all about that. The Bombers currently lead the Red Sox by a half-game in the Wild Card standings. With Toronto still three games up in the AL East, this could very well be a future Wild Card Series matchup, and since Boston has the tiebreaker with New York, the onus will be on the Yank
