The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office released body camera video and the 911 call from an officer-involved shooting that killed a man on August 25.
According to investigators, 37-year-old Cale Tyler Gilbert was at the Dutton Island Preserve when a couple spotted him firing a rifle into the water.
When the man went to ask him to stop, JSO said Gilbert fired at the man’s feet. The Sheriff’s Office said the couple tried to leave when Gilbert asked for a drink. When they gave him one, the man tackled Gilbert, disarmed him, and threw the rifle in the water, according to JSO.

JSO said they found 47 shell casings at the preserve.
