LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (KCTV) - An Independence woman has been accused of hijacking a vehicle before she traveled to a family member’s home and allegedly threw bricks through their windows.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Wednesday, Sept. 10, indicate that Alexandra M. Ivey, 32, has been charged with hijacking a vehicle.

A probable cause statement filed by the Lee’s Summit Police Department revealed that around 10 p.m. on Sept. 4, law enforcement officials were called to the area of Highway 50 and Highway 291.

When first responders arrived, they said they learned that a woman had agreed to drive Ivey to a family member’s house as she said her mother was in trouble.
