Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse wide receiver Justus Ross-Simmons headed to the locker room with an apparent right ring finger injury toward the end of the first quarter. Ross-Simmons opened the scoring for SU versus Colgate, snagging a 26-yard touchdown four and a half minutes into the game.

Including his catch against the Raiders, Ross-Simmons has nine catches for 159 yards and three touchdowns. After dealing with injuries in his first season with the Orange last year, Ross-Simmons earned a starting spot alongside Johntay Cook II and Darrell Gill Jr.

Ross-Simmons returned to SU’s sideline at the beginning of the second quarter, where he received treatment on his right ring finger. His status to return is unknown.
