An 18-year-old woman and her 44-year-old mother have been indicted on multiple criminal charges in a Wahiawa bullying case after a video of an assault went viral on social media in May, Honolulu prosecutors and police said today.

An Oahu grand jury indicted Jasmine Keola for kidnapping, third-degree assault, fourth-degree attempted theft and two counts of fourth-degree theft, while her mother, Anela Vierra, was charged by felony information with second-degree attempted theft, third-degree extortion, and fourth-degree attempted theft, according to city prosecutors.

They said the charges are the result of several incidents that allegedly occurred over a couple of months beginning in April at a bus stop and on the city bus in Wahiawa.
