A new classic story may have been added to Portland Trail Blazers lore this week, and it comes from former Portland guard Andre Miller. It turns out, during Miller’s 2010-11 season with the Blazers, the NBA veteran missed game time due to … a chocolate overdose.

Miller recounted the incident and how it led to a brief hospital stay during an appearance on the “All the Smoke” podcast after host Matt Barnes asked if he had any guilty pleasures:

Man, chocolate. Candy, man. I’m gonna tell you a story. I’m playing in Portland, and me and my woman go — the day before the game, there was a chocolate convention. You know convention centers are huge, so it was just unlimited chocolate, man. The day before the game, I’m just in there eating all kinds of chocolate, different stations and stuff.
