CHILLICOTHE ( 25News Now ) - Fire investigators are searching for the cause of a Friday morning fire at a home in Chillicothe
Chillicothe firefighters were called around 12:25 a.m. to a reported structure fire at a home in the 1200 block of North Second Street, finding heavy fire conditions on certain sides of the home.
Concerns over the home’s integrity forced firefighters to withdraw and the fire was brought under control from the outside.
The Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office was asked to investigate the cause of the fire.
Dunlap, Peoria Heights, Akron-Princeville and Lacon-Sparland firefighters also responded, along with Ameren and AMT.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters were on scene for around 3.5 hours.
