Officials in Utah are preparing a press conference to share new details in the assassination of Charlie Kirk, who was shot Wednesday at an outdoor event on a college campus.

The conference was supposed to start at 9 a.m. but has been delayed. Officials announced at 9:55 a.m. that the conference would begin at 10 a.m. It was scheduled after President Donald Trump announced on a cable television show Friday morning that “with a high degree of certainty,” the FBI had a suspect in custody.

Trump said the suspect’s father had helped officials arrest the suspect. Some media sources identified the suspect as a 22-year-old Utah resident.
