On Friday in Utah, agents from the FBI and local law enforcement arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson for the assassination of Charlie Kirk following a two-day manhunt.
On Wednesday, Kirk had just begun an open-air talk at Utah Valley University when a shot fired from a nearby rooftop struck him fatally in the neck.
While, it is still early, the evidence so far points to the accused killer having left-wing political motives.
Police recovered a typical hunting rifle from the scene, and shell casings engraved with phrases like “ Hey fascist! Catch! ”, “Bella Ciao,” a line from a popular Italian anti-fascist resistance song made popular during the Second World War, which has been revived in recent years as a left-wing anthem.
