Eric Nickulas, a former Boston Bruins player, appeared in court Friday after being accused of offering to pay a teenager for sex.

Police said Nickulas thought he was communicating with a 16-year-old girl when he planned to meet and pay her for sex Thursday, but it was an undercover officer.

According to court documents, Nickulas told police he knew what he did was wrong.

He played for the Bruins for four seasons, ending in 2006.
