NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Dozens of discarded dogs were rescued this week and will soon be ready to start a new life near Music City.

The Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) said in a Facebook post that it saved 62 dogs who were rejected from puppy mills.

“In the cruel puppy mill industry, dogs who are no longer considered profitable are regularly discarded - sometimes dumped, sold at auction, or killed,” the post said.

ARC took in the pups in Oklahoma, but they will soon call the Volunteer State home. They are heading to the ARC Rescue Center near Nashville, according to the Facebook post.
