TONTOGANY, Ohio — Genoa senior running back Luke Clement rumbled for four touchdowns as 22 unanswered points in the first half from the Comets helped them take control in a 36-21 win over Otsego in the Northern Buckeye Conference football opener for both schools on Friday at Otsego High School.

Genoa improved to 3-1 overall, while Otsego fell to 2-2.

After Otsego capped off its opening drive of the game with a 1-yard touchdown run from quarterback Grady Frank with 2:29 left, Genoa immediately responded as Clement scored from 20 yards out with 2:10 remaining. Ryan Routson’s 72-yard kickoff return helped set up Clement’s score.
