MEDINA, Ohio – The waterline replacement project planned for West Liberty Street, Elmwood Street and West Washington Street has been completed and pavement restoration is underway.

“That work started last week and we anticipate it will continue into this week,” City Engineer Patrick Patton said during a Sept. 8 council meeting. “We anticipate resurfacing will start next Tuesday, weather department. That will mean one to two days of milling and one to two days of resurfacing.”

The waterline replacement project was initially slated to be completed in four weeks, but Patton said the work extended past the completion date as contractors were replacing waterline that was at least 85 years old and the city didn’t have plans on file for all the individual connections.
