SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - A Friday afternoon crash in Suwannee County left one Live Oak man dead, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The single-vehicle crash happened at about 3 p.m. along CR 249 near 52nd Street, according to troopers.

Troopers say the 56-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck heading south on the roadway.

According to a FHP press release, the truck “failed to negotiate the left-hand curve, and traveled off the roadway. The pickup truck then collided with a road sign, trees, as well as a power pole.”

FHP said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
