LISBON, Iowa (KCRG) - Friday night the community in Lisbon honored those in armed services at the school’s football game.
Tristian Shull is part of the Lisbon’s football game Friday night, telling anyone who passes by about what life is like as a member of the Iowa National Guard.
It’s an event put together by football parents to honor the military during the week of 9/11 and to highlight the different career paths in the armed forces.
“So I really have just gotten into the real world, so it’s great to show them the opportunities they could have if they were to join the guard, but also just getting to talk to them is great, I love it,” Shull said.
This is the first time Lisbon has hosted a military-focused football game.
