One of the most important items in Hollow Knight: Silksong is a Mask Shard, as collecting any four of these artifacts creates more health for Hornet. Building a full mask out of shards adds to your life, allowing you to take more hits from enemies and bosses. With a chance to get five additional pieces of vitality, these are objects you'll want to hunt down as you explore every region.

In total, there are 20 Mask Shards you can obtain throughout your adventure, with every four putting together a full Mask. With the hardest bosses in Silksong dealing two health pieces worth of damage on attacks, you'll want as many Masks as possible to keep you in tougher fights for longer.
