WINDSOR – Windsor won its first game under new head coach Quinn Fleeting, son of former coach Rob Fleeting, 28-13 over Torrington Friday night at Windsor.

It wasn’t an easy win for Windsor, the Class MM runner-up last year. The Warriors lost a lot of experience on their offensive line, along with top running back John Manning and receiver Cashmire Lewis, to graduation.

But senior quarterback AJ Robinson is back and he had plenty of targets and the Windsor defense locked down in the second half to stop Torrington.

“It’s always great to come out with a first home win,” said Robinson, who had two touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown in the second quarter. “We got some little things to pick up but we’re going to come together as a team and watch film and make sure everything goes smooth
