Suzanne Snelgrove choked back tears holding a flagpole with both the American Flag and a flag associated with the Christian faith at a vigil for far right activist and organizer Charlie Kirk held on the University of Montana’s campus Friday evening.

“I’m so emotional,” she said.

Snelgrove was one of several hundred gathered at the Oval for an event organized by UM’s chapter of Turning Point USA, a youth-oriented right-wing organizing group founded by Kirk.

Attendees included Lt. Gov. Kristen Juras and Rep. Braxton Mitchell, R-Columbia Falls, who spoke at the event two days after Kirk was assassinated during a college campus event in Utah on Wednesday.
