Firefighters battle manufacturing company fire in Galesburg

GALESBURG, Ill. (KWQC) - Firefighters battled a fire at a Galesburg manufacturing company Friday afternoon.

At 2:15 p.m., members of the Galesburg Fire Department responded to a fire at Midstate Manufacturing Company in the 700 block of West Third Street, according to a media release.

When firefighters got there, they found heavy smoke coming from an area inside the plant, officials said.

Crews put out the fire and there were no injuries.

Officials said the cause of the fire was accidental.
