ATLANTA — If you went to the Georgia Tech home opener last weekend in Atlanta, you probably have nightmares from the traffic that continued to pile up on the Downtown Connector.

Well, now there's good news for Saturday's massive matchup vs. No. 12 Clemson. Despite Georgia Department of Transportation initially planning on closing three lanes again starting in the morning, they have reversed course in order to save on headaches from thousands getting down for the game.

GDOT's Natalie Dale said in order to prevent being a "buzz kill" to fans attending the game, they will pause its major project which includes demolishing and repairing the Connector.

Instead of doing the road work during the day, they will work through the night on Friday into Saturday and stop repairs and open up the Conn
