PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) - With six seconds left in the game, the Perryville vs. St. Vincent football game seemed destined for overtime. But a Hail Mary flew into the sky, and the Indians’ prayers were answered.

St. Vincent stunned Perryville 27-21, on a Hail Mary touchdown as time expired, Friday, sending the home crowd into a state of rapture.

Max Wheeler was the player who caught the game-winning score; it was the third touchdown connection of the game between Wheeler and quarterback Wyatt Winkler.

The touchdown was the culmination of an incredible fourth-quarter comeback, perfectly paralleling St. Vincent’s come-from-behind victory in the 2024 version of the rivalry.
