PITTSBURGH -- New Pittsburgh Steelers safety Jabrill Peppers will admit his time in New England didn’t end on his terms, but he is equally excited for a new role in Pittsburgh.

Peppers chose the Steelers over multiple other teams, and now will have a chance to push for a starting role over the next few weeks. Between the team’s tradition and Mike Tomlin, Peppers says there was no way he could say no to the Steelers.

“It’s certainly a great place, it’s always been a great defense here. Always been great continuity at the head coaching position. Great tradition. So it was a no brainer for me,” Peppers said.

So, what is his role going to be and why were the Steelers drawn to him? Tomlin liked Peppers’ versatility, and believes he can play all over the field and on special teams.
