MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — News and notes from Week 3 of the high school football season.

Class AA:

SOUTH HARRISON 60, Ritchie County 34: Four days after completing a 20-19 win over Lincoln, the Hawks improved to 3-0 with a win over the Rebels. Madden Maxwell rushed for four touchdowns in the victory.

FRANKFORT 47, Allegany(MD) 21: The Falcons ran their winning streak to 17 games. Bradyn Tyler scored three touchdowns for FHS (3-0) with Carder Shanholtz added two more scores.

BLUEFIELD 35, James Monroe 27: Both starting quarterbacks (Bluefield’s Max Simpson and James Monroe’s Ryan Mann) each tossed four touchdown passes. Both teams are now 2-1.

POCA 35, Ravenswood 18: The Dots jumped out to a 22-0 lead, improving to 2-1 on the season. Kam McBride tossed two touchdowns for PHS.
