Everybody’s favourite underused villain is back courtesy of a new prequel comic.

In the latest issue of Legacy of Vader, the Knights of Ren’s absence in much of Star Wars’ sequel trilogy has been addressed - and it’s an explanation that includes Snoke.

Snoke was, of course, the primary villain of The Force Awakens before he was abruptly killed off in The Last Jedi.

In the much-hated The Rise of Skywalker, it was explained that Snoke was merely a failed clone ahead of Emperor Palpatine’s return.

Whereas Episodes VII and IX were helmed by JJ Abrams, it was Rian Johnson who killed Snoke off in Episode VIII.

It’s clear the two directors had differing opinions over Snoke’s significance.

Well, at least we’ve now got a slightly better idea of his backstory.
