Despite losing their second close game in as many weeks, head coach Steve Pyne believes his Union football team is close to finding better results.
Pyne and the Titans were looking at the glass half full after falling 22-20 against Woodinville on Friday at McKenzie Stadium, in part because of how they finished the game.
Union rallied with two fourth-quarter touchdown passes from quarterback Blake McDonald to Kaleb Kruse and Landon Jenkins, respectively, but the Titans’ defense was unable to get a final stop.
Woodinville’s Santiago Hernandez, who rushed for a game-high 138 yards, gained two first downs inside the final three minutes to seal a win for the Falcons of the 4A KingCo.
