JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Eight people have been arrested or charged in the August shooting death of 17-year-old Galvin Fortenberry.

Fortenberry was fatally shot at the at the Finish Line Dragstrip in the Lucas community. Four others were wounded.

According to a post on the JDCSD’s Facebook page, the four individuals who were injured during the incident have been released from the hospital and are continuing their recovery.

The post said that following an investigation led by Investigator Vernon Dampier, law enforcement officials have arrested or charged eight individuals in connection with the shooting.

The individuals charged in connection to Fortenberry’s murder and other related offenses include:

• Kendarrius Washington, 22

• Jayden Williams, 18

• Javontae Williams,
