HOUSTON – Throughout this past week, Deion Sanders liked what he saw on the practice field.
He also liked what he saw in meetings and in every aspect of his team’s preparation.
On Friday night, there wasn’t much the Colorado head coach liked.
The offense wasn’t good and the defense might have been worse, as CU was whooped by Houston, 36-20, at TDECU Stadium in the Big 12 Conference opener.
“Nobody could have told me that was going to go down like that,” Sanders said. “There’s no way.
“With the week of preparation that we had, the meetings that we had, the film study and the preparation that we had, no one could have told me that it was going to turn out like this.
