A man who died after being hit by a train apologised to the driver in a note, an inquest has heard.
The message from Mark Stanier was found in his backpack.
The 36-year-old was struck by a train travelling through Stoke-on-Trent in September 2024.
An inquest heard the garden centre worker had obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety.
Mr Stanier, from Trentham, had been receiving private counselling and had frequent GP appointments.

He had switched to new medication which listed suicide as a side effect and was due a three-week review, StokeonTrentLive reports.
But he died before the review.
