The Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashana is almost here. And that means Yom Kippur is too.

Rosh Hashana translates from Hebrew as "head of the year," marking the beginning of the Jewish New Year . The holiday, one of Judaism's holiest, lasts two days and is known as a celebratory occasion.

Yom Kippur, which always follows, is also known as the Day of Atonement , when Jews reflect on any sins or wrongdoings from the previous year. Many fast, abstaining from consuming any food or water.
