The words of warning now come regularly. “These are tough times,” Prime Minister Mark Carney said Wednesday at opening of the Liberal caucus meeting in Edmonton. The next day it was: “The path ahead will not always be easy.”
Mr. Carney’s assertions that Canada’s economic reality has dramatically changed are not new. He won an election in April promising to lead the country through the disruption triggered by U.S. President Donald Trump and his tariffs.
