CLEVELAND, Ohio - Two people were shot outside a bar on Cleveland’s East Side early Friday, according to safety officials.

Paramedics responded to Peoples Bar and Grill at 3614 E. 65th St. shortly after 1 a.m., EMS Commander Ellen Kazimer confirmed.

Crews transported a 47-year-old man in serious condition to MetroHealth Medical Center. A 29-year-old woman was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center for treatment.

Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer reached out to police for additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. It is unknown whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
