Middlesbrough will be looking to make history at Deepdale this afternoon by winning a fifth consecutive match at the start of a season.

Never before in Boro's 149-year history have they started a new campaign with five successive wins. But after a fantastic start under new boss Rob Edwards - the newly-crowned Championship Manager of the Month - they've equalled the current record of four victories.

To get that record they'll have to overcome a sickness bug that went through the camp this week, as well as a Preston North End side who are not easy to beat at home. Never mind Boro losing on their last five visits here, they've already beaten Ipswich and Leicester this season on home turf too.
