Parents of transgender and nonbinary children are staffing a newly revamped hotline aimed at answering questions from other trans and nonbinary youth and their family members.

A project of Stand with Trans , a support and empowerment organization for transgender young people that is headquartered in metro Detroit, the service is not a crisis line. Rather, it's a place to learn about resources such as where to find clothing or medical treatment, and talk to an ally parent either by phone or text and, maybe, get a virtual hug at a time when the rights of transgender people, especially transgender young people, are targets of the United States government.
