Two products have been recalled by Sainsbury's over fears that they are laced with a deadly bacteria. It's thought the supermarket's own-brand hummus could contain a strain of E.coli. ‌

Eating the dips in question could make people sick, and an alert was issued for the supermarket by the Food Standard's Agency last night, Friday, September 12, 2025. ‌

The own-branded products including two types of Houmous were being taken off shelves "as a precautionary step". The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues recalls for a variety of reasons . ‌
