Bishop McDevitt football on Friday cruised to a 48-13 win over Cedar Cliff, behind a balanced rushing attack and a 100-yard passing performance by Sebastian Williams.
Williams finished with 103 yards, going 6-for-8 through the air with a touchdown pass to 35-yard pass to Ish Palmer in the second quarter. The Crusaders finished with 193 yards on the ground. Jerome Larue (two touchdowns, 74 yards), Nazir Jones-Davis (two touchdowns, 31 yards) and Maurice Barnes (one touchdown, 75 yards) all scored off the rush for McDevitt.
The Colts were paced by a two-touchdown, 133-yard passing yard performance by Jalen Hinton. Cedar Cliff found the end zone twice in the second quarter in an attempt to stop the bleeding, as McDevitt ran out to a 21-0 lead to begin the game.
