President Donald Trump closed the week mourning the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk , and honoring those who were lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Kirk, 31, was assassinated during his "American Comeback Tour" at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. His death comes a year after two assassination attempts against Trump.

"To my fellow Americans, I am filled with grief and anger at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah," Trump said in a video address to the nation on Wednesday, hours after announcing Kirk’s death.
