SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Saturday we’re down to 12 hours and 21 minutes of daylight. That’s down from 13 hours and 52 minutes back in June on the Summer Solstice.

And Novermber 2nd is fast approaching. That’s the day our clocks “Fall Back”. We’re down to only 11 hours of daylight then, with sunset at 5:46pm.

For our beaches, rain chances are low, but not zero. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is still possible in the heat of the afternoon. Weekend winds will hold out of the North and Northeast at 10-15 mph both days. Humidity will be lower at the beach, too. Rip current risk is low, but always check the flags at lifeguard stations.

For boating conditions on Saturday, northeast winds of 10 to 15 knots will shift north in the afternoon, with seas around 2 feet and a moderate chop on bays
