Police have arrested more than 1,000 suspects in Coventry and acrfoss the West Midlands. Teams have been tackling a range of criminal activity in the region and say they have been 'working 24/7.'
Since Monday, West Midlands Police have detained more than 1,000 people in connection with a wide range of crimes. The number includes more than 200 for assault, 300 for domestic abuse and scores of arrests for other offences such as robbery, burglary and shoplifting.
Vehicles have also been seized across Coventry , including a stolen Mini Cooper and two Nissan Navaras. A man was also arrested after a knifepoint robbery in the city and charged.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We have arrested more than 1,000 suspects across the West Midlands this week as we continue to tack
