HOUSTON - Two firefighters were injured while battling a fire at a church in southeast Houston early Saturday morning.

What we know:

Houston firefighters responded to Christ Church Apostolic on Fuqua Street around 6:45 a.m.

The fire was escalated to a two-alarm fire.

Officials said two firefighters suffered leg injuries and were taken to an area hospital.

What we don't know:

Officials were not sure if the injuries to the firefighters were burns or another injury.
