EAST ELMHURST, Queens (PIX11) -- A woman was found dead after being shot in the head inside a home in Queens late Friday night, according to authorities.

The 21-year-old woman named Dashanna Donovan was found shot once inside 26-30 96th St around 9:30 p.m., police reported.

Investigators worked throughout the night to find a potential motive and suspect, but no additional details were immediately made available.

According to police records, the incident marks the 70th shooting in Queens for the year.
