A free Halloween trail will see eight ghosts "come to life" in the city centre . The Great Leicester Ghost Hunt will feature "spooky" spirits across public spaces and shop windows.

The trail will bring the ghosts to life through projections and "playful tricks", according to creators MBD. The arts organisation was also behind the projection on Leicester Cathedral at Light Up Leicester earlier this year .

Taking place over a two-week period, the organisers said the family friendly event will " unleash mischievous spirits, magical illusions, and hidden histories across the city centre". Those joining the trail can expect to see a ghostly radio DJ, mischievous monks who will not stay silent, bickering Roman Centurions, and eyeballs that follow you down the street.
