NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man was fatally struck by a car in New Orleans Saturday, Sept. 13.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Werner Avenue. Officers were called to the crash around 4:45 a.m.

Officers found an injured man who had been hit by a Nissan sedan. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
