A 14-year-old boy is dead and a 16-year-old boy is seriously injured after a collision between an electric bicycle and a school bus in Dover, Delaware, police said.

According to Delaware State Police, on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, around 4 p.m., a school bus was traveling eastbound on West Lebanon Road, approaching the intersection with Royal Grant Way.

Police said the bus moved into the right-turn lane to prepare to turn onto Royal Grant Way. At the same time, an electric bicycle was traveling eastbound on a paved sidewalk that runs alongside the right-turn lane.
