Queens woman shot dead inside home in late

QUEENS, NY – A 21-year-old woman was fatally shot in the head late Friday night during a violent attack inside a Queens residence, police said.

The shooting unfolded around 9:20 p.m. after a 911 call reported an assault in progress at 26-30 96th Street, within the 115th Precinct. Responding officers found the victim inside with a gunshot wound to the head.

EMS pronounced her dead at the scene. She was later identified as Dashanna Donovan, 21, who lived at the address.

No arrests have been made, and investigators said the case remains ongoing.
